We have made changes to the Page Title and Meta Description but upon checking it looks like it’s not updating. At first we used Yoast SEO, no result. Then now we are using Rankmath and still no result. All pages are affected.

  • Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

Hi, I have updated the sensitive data section. Please check.

    Hello,

It seems that HostGator has 2FA authentication and the verification code expires after 5 minutes. Can you please locate the FTP access following the instructions here? https://www.hostgator.com/help/article/ftp-settings-and-connection

That would make it possible to access the website file without the need for 2FA to be disabled.

    Thank you.

Hi sorry for the late response. Let me check this out and get back to you. I very much appreciate the effort and patience.

    Hello,

That is fine. We understand and we are here to provide the necessary support you need.

We look forward to hearing from you.

    Thank you.

I am not the person who bought this hosting account. Let me coordinate with the owner. Thank you for your patience.

    Hello,

Please update us when you hear back from the owner.

This ticket will be kept open so you can update us here.

    Thank you.

Thank you for waiting. I have updated the sensitive Data section.

    Hello,

We have been trying to debug this issue on the website for quite some time but it’s practically impossible due to the heavy cache being present on the website.

Each time we make a change to see if it outputs the correct values, we need to clear the cache entirely, even though we are logged in.

We also checked that this is also happening with Yoast SEO installed so it’s not something particular to our plugin but there is another plugin on your website taking ownership of the title of the pages.

Our recommendation is that you setup a staging website without any caching and disable each plugin one by one to see which one is the culprit.

If you want us to that on the staging website, please share the details of that with us so we can check.

    Thank you.

Hi Miguel thank you so much for letting us know. Let me check what we can do on our end.

    Hello,

Please check and get back to us when you are done.

We look forward to hearing from you.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

Hi, we have edited the sensitive data info. There should be login information there for the staging site.

    Hello,

On the website we noticed a plugin that was hidden called WP Yoast SEOExtensions and after disabling it directly from the file manager we were able to see our own title data appearing on the page the same way you have put it.

You can now see on the staging website that the plugin appears deactivated but it was hidden before and was causing all sorts of SEO mismatches on the website.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
