I just saw your reply. I resubmitted the sitemap but I excluded post and categories as those pages are empty and I dont want to be indexed nor crawled. Please clarify why you think they should be included. I also excluded the header and footer as i suggested and you confirmed.
Basically the sitemap i submitted is the following:

I removed the old one. Regarding the error messages from the old, will they disappear once the new one is indexed?
To clarify how Rankmath sitemap process works. If the toggle is on on the setting you showed, Rankmath will automatically generate sitemaps which Google may accidently crawl even if it was not submitted. By setting that toggle off, I understand that the chances for google to crawl a website in developing stage are much lower correct?

The sitemap you’re to submit is https://silviawebseo.com/sitemap_index.xml, which is your sitemap index with all of your sitemaps, the /page-sitemap.xml only lists your pages – it does not include your posts, products or other custom posts types.
Even if you do not have any posts on your website, it is still a good idea to use your /sitemap_index.xml with GSC. Rank Math will not include any post-sitemap.xml file if you do not have any posts, neither will it include a product-sitemap.xml file if you do not have any product.

Error messages will not disappear when you add a new sitemap, they will disappear when Google crawls your site and updates its index. Please be patient, this can take a few days.

If you are referring to the Sitemap module, then yes, when it is disabled sitemap will not be created because the sitemap feature will not be active.
