Split: No Category Base option WPML Redirect Loop

#257303
  • Hi,
I have the same issue after the last update. Nothing in default language but all other languages have redirect loops in Woocommerce. I just had to roll back.

  • Apparently, the issue I mentioned before has to do with Annasta plugin which is not completely compatible with Rankmath

    Hello,

Since the last issue you mentioned is apparently caused by another plugin like you mentioned we would recommend that you get in touch with them about this situation.

If there’s anything else we can do from our side to help do let us know.

    We are here to help!

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Could you please let us know if you have contacted the support folks from Annasta plugin? Do let us know if they are able to provide a working solution from their end since you have discovered the incompatibility between their plugin and Rank Math.

Looking forward to helping you with this one.

    Hi,

Yes I have and they are aware of it. The problem is not that grave it is just a minor hiccup. Their plugin has nothing to do with infinite WPML Loop that is really your plugin which is causing this (among a few other problems). So Please have a look I have deactivated Annasta plugin

    Hello,

I updated the Rank Math plugin on your site and checked few Product Category links in both primary and secondary languages and everything seemed to work fine. Please check the screencast I added in the Sensitive Data Section.

Can you please share the links of the affected URLs?

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hi Pratik,

Thanks for that, but as you could have read before, that had nothing to do with Rankmath, and it was another plugin. As you could have read on the first page, the problem is the infinite loop which is still there (I just checked). That is the MAIN ISSUE, and that seems not to have been resolved.

    Regards,

    Hello,

You indicated that there’s an infinite loop on your website.

Could you please tell us the steps to reproduce this? What pages do we need to visit to see the issue happening on the website?

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

As described at the beginning of the ticket. But WPML and Rankmath are still not playing well together. It is of course turned off otherwise the website is unworkable. It is a known issue that as soon as your remove categories woocommerce will act up. That is happening right now. I have seen more websites where this is happening so the issue is not resolved.

This might also be a hint:
Support › Rank Math Free › Split: No Category Base option WPML Redirect Loop › Reply To: Split: No Category Base option WPML Redirect Loop

This has been written down and reported also at the beginning of the ticket, or you cannot see/read it?

    Hello,

The issue that was initially mentioned in the original ticket is fixed and that’s what our developer has hinted at in the previous reply from him here: https://support.rankmath.com/ticket/split-no-category-base-option-wpml-redirect-loop/page/2/?view=all#post-283138

If you are still experiencing this could you please record a screencast with a tool such as Loom and send it over to us with the settings and steps you used to make this happen?

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

Hope we can solve it know I have sent you a screencast link. As you can see with and without Rankmath activated.

Still have the issue as reported 2 months ago.

    Regards,

    Hello,

I logged into your site and added the following code in your theme’s functions.php file to disable the Product category Redirections from Old URL to the new ones without the base:

    add_filter( 'rank_math/woocommerce/product_redirection', '__return_false' );

This seemed to have fixed the infinite loop issue. Can you please confirm?

    I hope that helps.
