  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

I’ve checked your sitemap, but it seems to be working fine.

However, the non-WWW version of your sitemap is not yet redirected to the WWW version. You can refer to the screenshot attached in the sensitive data section.

Please ensure that only 1 version of the sitemap is working (200 Ok status), and the rest are redirecting to it. You can also use this tool to check.

You can follow the steps in this link to redirect your non-www version of your site:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-redirect-non-www-urls-to-www/

Once done, remove all the sitemaps submitted in your Google Search Console and resubmit your main sitemap. Then give Google some time to recrawl your sitemaps.

    I hope that helps.

    Thank you.

Hi, I have done as you suggested by adding the non-www redirect code to my rankmath plugin but the httpstatus tool still shows the same thing. Can you please check from your end?

And what else can I do to fix it

    Hello,

Your sitemap is not working currently.
    not working

The error on your sitemap page suggests there must be some white spaces before the XML Sitemap’s source code.

Please follow this troubleshooting guide to fix that issue:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/fix-sitemap-issues/#xml-text-declaration

    I hope this helps.

    Looking forward to helping you.

It shows this error only when you enter the non-www version of the site map. I have already redirect the non-www to www but its still the same.

    Hello,

Upon testing the variations of your sitemap with https://httpstatus.io/, I found that still two of the variations are returning 200 status. You can have a look at the screenshot in the sensitive data section of this ticket.

Except for the preferred variation (which should return only a 200 status), all the non-preferred variations of the website should redirect to the preferred variation and return a 301 and 200 status.

Please follow the steps in this link:
https://rankmath.com/kb/couldnt-fetch-error-google-search-console/#num-5-check-for-the-correct-version-of-the-sitemap and redirect to the correct variation.

You can also get in touch with your web host regarding this.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Unfortunately, the passcode has expired and we can’t access your admin dashboard for us to further check the issue.

Try to address the sitemap error in your non-www sitemap version. After doing that, you can then ensure that all 3 variations of the sitemaps are redirecting to the final version.

I would suggest checking this one with your hosting as they are in the best position to help you configure the redirections.

We are looking forward to helping you.

I have spoken with them and they said there is nothing wrong here. Don’t even know what to do anymore.

Because all 3 variation of the site without the (sitemap_index.xml) are redirecting to the www version.

I have updated the sensitive data please try again.

    Hello,

The non-www version of your sitemap page is still not redirecting to the final version as you can see in my screenshot below:

As for your stylesheet error, I would like to turn on troubleshooting mode but it doesn’t seem to work on your website. I can’t disable or enable plugins while troubleshooting.

Is it possible for you to create a staging website for us to deeply debug the issue without worrying about breaking your live site? If so, please create one, replicate the issue there and share the admin login here so we can further determine what’s causing this issue.

Also, please share your FTP login in the Sensitive Data section as well so we can further debug the issue deeply.

    Thank you.

Sorry, we’re trying to fix the issue so we disabled some settings. Though we’re unable to get what’s happened. I also spoke with my web hosting provider, they are also unable to determine the issue as they said there is no issue on my server ( I’ve shared the message in the sensitive section ). You can access the site now and try the troubleshooting mode.

Also, I’m unable to create a staging site at the moment.

    Hello,

Allow me to check this with our dev team as I noticed there’s a CORS issue with your non-www sitemap.

We should get back to you shortly.

    Thank you.

Okay. I will be awaiting your response.

    Hello,

Can you please delete the Sitemap from Google Search Console and submit it again? Please try submitting this link in the GSC.

I also checked it in the Sitemap validator and no issues were detected there.

    I hope that helps.

Yes, that’s what I added to GSC. But after few days I will see it will show the error “We were unable to read your Sitemap. It may contain an entry we are unable to recognize. Please validate your Sitemap before resubmitting.

    Line 1”
