My sitemap has not benn updating in search console for last two months. Because of this I am facing issues in indexing.

I generated a manual sitemap which as soon as I submitted it in search console it started showing all my urls but rankmath sitemap is not updating the sitemap urls.

  • Now the speed of deindexing has increased a lot, earlier urls were being deindexed sometimes but now they are being deindexed regularly and many urls are being deindexed simultaneously.
Below are some urls which have been deindexed today itself.

    https://celebpaycheck.com/tom-hoge-net-worth/
    https://celebpaycheck.com/sha-ek-net-worth/
    https://celebpaycheck.com/kisha-royse-net-worth/

I noticed a strange thing, these urls started showing in Crawled -Currently not indexed in search console today but when I searched them in google, they are showing there.

    Hello,

I checked the URLs you’ve shared and I can see that the following two are still indexing on Google:

But this URL is not indexed on Google: https://celebpaycheck.com/tom-hoge-net-worth/. In this case, we suggest you use the URL inspection tool of the GSC account to check this URL and share a screenshot of the result using the tools like https://imgur.com/.

However, there was a Google Algorithm core update on March 15, 2023. If your URLs are getting deindexed rapidly, possibly your site might be got affected by a recent algorithm update by Google.

Here you can monitor Google Algorithm updates and ranking drops. Check if you’ve got hit by an Algorithm update of Google:

If it seems like you may have been affected by an algorithm update, please refer to the following guidelines for how to confirm that and fix it: https://rankmath.com/blog/google-algorithm-update-recovery/.

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

I don’t think posts are getting deindexed after algorithm core update because my posts are getting deindexed from last three months.

I have sent you the screenshot link of that post below which is not showing in google.

I have sent you the screenshot of another post which is showing on google but showing deindex in search console.

    Hello,

The “Crawled – currently not indexed” means Google has crawled your page but has not indexed it yet. Finding a certain number of URLs with this status is entirely normal because Google does not index all the URLs we submit. This isn’t an error but there are some reasons for excluding the pages from its index.

Please note that there are various factors that Google considers while indexing. Your frequency of posting and your site’s domain authority are just two of the many factors Google considers when indexing new web pages.

Google assigns a crawl budget to your website depending on these factors (especially these two), and that has a direct effect on how soon (i.e. how efficiently) your content can be indexed.

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.

My issue is not that the posts are showing in crawled currently not indexed, my issue is that posts are getting automatically deindexed.

    Hello,

There is no issue with the page. It is not set to noindex and the page is included in the sitemap as well. You can check it here
    https://celebpaycheck.com/post-sitemap.xml

There is not much that can be done except wait for Google to decide to re-index once again. Do note that the quality of the articles and the authority of the website plays a vital role in indexing. As it appears, your website is very new and doesn’t have much of backlinks:

You can start working on building your website’s authority and you will see your pages go up in rankings very quickly.

If you believe there is an issue with the settings, we would love to take a look but there doesn’t seem to be any issue.

    Hope that helps.

Yes the site is new and the authority is less but when the issue started coming on the site, at that time the site started growing. My keywords were getting ranked, traffic started coming but then sitemap issue started appearing, posts stopped getting indexed.

I don’t know all this is co-related but I will wait to see if things are improving or not. If I don’t see an improvement and think it might be a plugin-specific issue, I’ll contact you.

    Thanks for all your time.

    Hello,

Any issue with a sitemap doesn’t cause posts to get or not get indexed. This has nothing to do with the plugin and as you know – Google updates its algorithm multiple times.

You can go through this video to determine whether your traffic dropped because of an issue on your site or Google update:

    Hope that helps.
