Remove default Structured Data of woocommerce

    Hi Guys, I have a problem with woocommerce and Rank math structured data.

    I tested my site with the google tool on the product page and it detects structured data twice.

    Doing some debugging I noticed that one section is related to rankmath (correct), the second is related to Woocommerce.

    Here, is it possible to remove the code generated by woocommerce and keep only that of rankmath?

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math, and sorry for any inconvenience caused.

    Rank Math takes the product data as set in WooCommerce. We do not add those values separately and instead rely on WooCommerce to provide that information.

    It does appear that another plugin is generating the schema.

    This could suggest that there is a conflict between Rank Math and one of your installed plugins. To determine if that is the issue, please follow this troubleshooting guide:

    Hi Danial, before writing to support I have already carried out the procedure you indicated to me.

    I deactivated all the plugins and activated only woocommerce and the twenty theme.

    The result of the test is that Woocommerce inserts structured data by default.

    So once rankmath is activated the structured data is duplicated.

    I’m interested in having only the structured rankmath data not the default Woocommerce data.

    can you help me?

    I’ve checked your WordPress dashboard, and it seems that your WooCommerce is still not updated.

    If the issue still persists, assuming you are using the latest version of WooCommerce and all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), please also include your FTP logins to further investigate this issue.

    Thank you for getting back to us.

    Upon inspecting your website, I have noticed that you do have multiple schema tags being inserted by your theme of a third-party plugin. To verify this you can just view the page source of the product page and do a quick search for the word schema and you will notice that there are other JSON schema codes that are the reason why you are getting duplicates. I would recommend that you consult your theme developer on how to remove them. If you do not wish to use the WooCommerce product schmema generated by Rank Math you can set your products to take no schema which will make them use theme’s schema.

    as I said to your colleague in previous messages. I tried to disable all plugins and set a default theme, only activated woocommerce and you can see the structured data.

    therefore the secondary structured data are generated directly by woocommerce … the theme does not insert any type of structured data (I have already asked).

    I’ve tried to check your site, but it seems that the Health Check plugin is not working on your site. I’ve attached a screencast in the sensitive data section. However, I’ve already disabled the plugin through FTP, and your site is back to normal.

    Could you please check on your end if it’s working? If so, please follow the screencast I’ve created to check the schema when Rank Math, WooCommerce, and a default theme are only active.

    If it’s not working on your end, please create a staging site with the same issue as it seems that your site is currently live. This will also avoid your site getting any issues as we may need to deactivate plugins and switch themes manually to find the culprit.

    As my colleague suggested, it is advisable to create a staging site so we can troubleshoot the issue without worrying about breaking the site.

    It’s likely that there is a plugin OR your current theme conflicting with Rank Math but we may need to verify and troubleshoot this further in a staging environment.

    Thank you so much for providing us with a staging site set up for us to further check this.

    Upon checking your staging site, we are greeted with different results right away. There seems to be no issue on the staging site. We tested it in the Rich Result test and there is no duplicate product schema present. Please see the Rich Result test in the sensitive data section.

    Can you please check if there heavy are caching happening on your website? Specifically on the product pages?

    With that said, I raised this issue to our developers for further investigation. You should hear a solution or feedback from them very soon.
