Plugin Conflict

    Rank Math free

    Hi Guys,
I use Divi for my site, and ever since the last two updates i have been experiencing and issue with saving my work when building on the front end.
I have followed the guidelines in as such i have gone through every plugin that i use and it only happens when i have Rankmath active.

    The error reads as follows:
An error occurred whilst saving your page.
Various problems can cause a save to fail, such as lack of server resources, firewall blockages, plugin conflicts or server misconfiguration. You can try again, or you can download a backup of your usaved page by clicking Download Backup. Backups can be restored using the portability system while editing your page.
Contacting your host and asking them to increase the following PHP variables may help: memory limit, max_execution time, upload _max_filesize, max_input_time, maz_input_vars. In addition, auditing your firewall error log (such as Modsecurity) may reveal false positives that are preventing saves from completing.
Lastly it is recommended that you temporarily disable all WordPress plugins and browser extensions and try to save again to determine if something is causing a conflict.

I am using Wordfence security, and have as mentioned gone through the process of elimination with my plugins. Also as mentioned the version of RM two versions previous didn’t cause me this issue.

    Can you advise accordingly please.

    Regards

    Paul Holmes

    Rank Math business

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Just to be sure, could you ask your hosting to do this: Contacting your host and asking them to increase the following PHP variables may help: memory limit, max_execution time, upload _max_filesize, max_input_time, maz_input_vars. Since Divi is a resource-hungry plugin and checking the entire content with Rank Math could be a lot for a server configured with low settings on those parameters.

If that doesn’t fix your issue, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hi Michael,
My apologies, details submitted as mentioned.

    Regards

    Paul

    Hi Michael,
All info should be there now.

    Thankyou,

    Paul

    Hi Paul,

Thanks for the details but I cannot seem to replicate this.

I created a test post since I didn’t want to mess up your published post.

The editor (front and back) works fine and I could see the changes even after reloading.

I have shared a screencast in the sensitive data section showing you that it works and I didn’t see any errors.

Could you please let me know if the issue is fixed or is there a set of steps I need to follow to see the problem?

I look forward to hearing back from you.

    Hi Uzair,
Many thanks for this, it appears as you correctly mention that when creating and editing posts everything works as is should do.

The problem still does exist though.
If you go to my homepage, and edit it on the front end, as i have just tried to do, it still produces the error message and won’t let me save my work. The only way to get around this is to disable Rankmath, and then everything saves the way it should. Not an ideal way to do things, but if this is the way forward for now then it has to be..

Please feel free to make any slight adjustments to test, just please revert back at the end of your time.

    Regards

    Paul

    Hello,

I see the issue on your site and it looks like your site’s memory is getting exhausted when you update the page from Frontend editor. Can you add your site’s FTP access in the Sensitive Data Section, so we can debug the issue by enabling WP_DEBUG and changing some plugin files?

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hi,
FTP details upoloaded, hopefully these are all you need. I use Siteground if that helps, and hopefully i won’t need to install remote access. If i do please let me know..

    Hello,

You didn’t add FTP’s password in the Sensitive Data Section. I tried to log-in using the admin password but it didn’t work.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hi Pratik,
My apologies the password has now been changed to the admin one as supplied.

    Hello,

Sorry for not following up quickly. I just tried logging in through FTP and it worked but you have not given us access to any files. The only file I see is the ftpquota.

Can you please check and give us access to at least the plugins folder?

    Looking forward to helping you.
