Pics not found in Google search

#192798
  • Hi RankMath support,
we have access to the backend of two different wordpress sites, one of them https://stuzubi.de . We there implemented RankMath the usual way but unfortunately none of our pictures can be found via search engines, although we turned all buttons to “on”.
Of course, we wish to push our SEO efforts by also using our pictures. So could you please assist us in this matter?
    Thanks in advance!

  • Hello,

    Thanks for contacting us.

I searched your website on Google images and I found that many images are already being indexed. Please have a look at this screenshot: https://i.rankmath.com/CTsDTO

However, I also noticed that these images are from a sub-domain (stellenboerse). In this case, you just need to further optimize your content and ensure to optimize the images, to get them indexed.

There are many factors that Google takes into account while indexing and ranking your images.

Please have a look at this article published by Google regarding best practices for images: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/advanced/guidelines/google-images

For more details, please refer to this tutorial guide:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/image-seo/

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you.

    Hi Prabhat Rai,

Thanks for your quick response. Unfortunately we are not talking about the subdomain (which is not in WordPress- neither RankMath) but about the pics on the domain https://stuzubi.de itself.

We assume that the whole configuration in our Rank Math account is correct but still no pics are visible in search engines.

Is there any known issue e.g. with other/special plugins that might interfere?

    Thanks again!

    Hello,

Thank you for the follow-up, and apologies for the delay.

I’ve checked your site on the Google search results page for images, and they are already showing. Here’s a screencast:
    https://i.rankmath.com/fbSfpU

I’ve also checked your sitemap and the images are already included there. Your robots.txt is also working fine. It seems that Google shows your subdomain’s images first before your main domain’s images.

In this case, if you wanted your site’s images to appear first, you may need to follow my colleague’s advice above to optimize your site’s images.

I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need further assistance with anything else.

Thank you so much @reinelle for providing this useful info.

    Hello,

    Thanks for getting back.

    Glad that helped.

Do you need any further assistance or can we close this ticket?

We are looking forward to hearing from you.
