    Hi,
As the title says, the RankMath update v1.0.65 used to add Keywords in the Schema Markup.
    Screenshot:
    https://prnt.sc/165ocnd
In the latest v1.0.66.1, Keywords are missing from Schema Markup.

You can check on any of my production site, which is running the latest version.

Is it intentional? Or is there an option to enable it? Also, is it recommended?

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

I tried replicating your issue on my end and I was able to replicate it. Rolling back to the previous version will add the keywords in your schema.

Allow me to confirm these update changes with our developers. You should hear from us shortly. If you wish to continue using the keywords in your schema, you can roll back to the previous version temporarily.

    Thank you.

    Hi,
Sure. Waiting for the reply. Do get back to me soon.

    Hello,

Thanks for getting back to us.

This feature is still in the plugin and you should be able to see it correctly, provided that all the settings and the Schema are correct.

If you are not seeing this on your website, it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:

Here is a video you can follow as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcIWRhcUP2c

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

If the issue persists, please record a video screencast using a tool like Loom showing the troubleshooting and edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Thank you for getting back to us.

I have just checked your post here: /androidsagecom.stage.site/?p=63800 and I could already see the presence of the keywords in the page source of your schema. See this screenshot for reference: https://i.rankmath.com/exasn1

Please clear your site cache and confirm this issue from your end.

Hope this helps. Do let us know if you have any other questions for us.

    Hi Brian,
    So I found the culprit!
The keywords do not show up for

    @type
    ”:”BlogPosting

The keywords do show up for

    @type
    ”:”Article

    Here is the video
    https://www.loom.com/share/b0ef54b9ced04bff9f2a122ee78f3618

As most of my posts are by default @type”:”BlogPosting, as recommended by RankMath, it keywords did not show up.
The keywords are removed from all of my previous posts, because they are @type”:”BlogPosting

You can test it and fix the problem ASAP! Even Miguel was able to reproduce it.

The testing you did was very limited. You should have done some extensive testing with multiple schemas before calling it a day.
Also, as I mentioned earlier, it is a staging site. So there is no caching in the staging environment. It is not a cache proble.

    Hi,
I got an email saying there is a reply just a few minutes ago, but I do not see any reply. Please look at my previous reply as I have found the bug. Please fix the problem as soon as possible.

    Hello,

Thank you for keeping in touch with us.

I am the one who sent the previous reply but I decided to delete it as I needed to further investigate this myself. Although some of my colleagues haven’t replicated the issue, I was able to from my end. Here is a video screencast from my end: https://i.rankmath.com/luNWzY

Let me further check this with our developers for another intensive troubleshooting to locate the cause of the issue.

We appreciate your time and patience on this one.

    Hi Jeremy,
Thanks for the reply. Could you guys fix this issue as soon as possible?

    Hello,

We already have an issue logged for this and will reply to this ticket when that is fixed.

We appreciate your time and patience while we work on a fix for this.

    Thank you.

    Hi,
Don’t you think this is a critical issue and you should fix it?
Also, please check rest of the schema, if it’s correct or missing something for my site on any post.

    Hello,

Thank you for checking back with us.

We have logged this issue and our developers should be working on a fix for this. We will inform you once we have an update on this or you can keep an eye on our changelog page: https://rankmath.com/changelog/

Also, please check rest of the schema, if it’s correct or missing something for my site on any post.

I submitted some of your posts to the Rich Results Tests and it seems to be working just fine.

With that said, please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hi,
The issue is still not fixed in the latest v1.0.67. Now I can’t make use of the huge speed improvements in the latest version as I will be stuck in v1.0.65 for a long time.
Can you please fix this? Is it even on your to-do list?
I mean it’s related to Schema. Shouldn’t this be your priority considering Rank Math is a SEO plugin, focused on Schema?

    Hello,

As previously mentioned, our developers are aware of this issue and will be providing a fix for this.

In the meantime, as a workaround to get the focus keywords to save on your website you could try to open each post and hit the “Save for this post” button on the Article Schema to trigger this option.

We appreciate your patience and understanding with this situation.

    Thank you.
