I have the same error too. My WordPress site has only RankMath plugin and no cache plugin installed. And the WP version is 5.1.1.
I disabled all the cache I had,
plugin and server
the proplem remains the same

Did you search for a redirect? As I see that URL redirects to https://kompozitor.fr/thenotebar/ instead of a 404.

Now it is working. You should try again in google search console. It will work. If it doesn’t I will be shocked. (I am not support, I am just a user with a strong technical background)

I know how to declare a sitemap in the google console, I did it hundreds of times.
my previous sitemap was generated by another plugin, and the console didn’t have any problem for reading it…
I migrated to rank math because many people say it’s a great plugin and I do beleive in that… I tried to register my sitemap as usual but for some reason, it does not work
so that’s why I’m asking for support. The support team suggested the cache, I tested that, I even red the document related to sitemap problems and tried a few things with the information given in it. It doesn’t work either
so I’m very open to anyone who could help, the moment what i’m being told is clear and understandable, that’s all…
