  • Hello,

    Thanks for contacting us.

Rank Math adds the OG Image tags automatically when you set an OG image. If an og image is being set for your posts and pages, and if your site supports HTTPS then the secure URL will be added automatically.

Can you please share the URL of your site so we can check?

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your reply,

To change the og:locale tag, Head over to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > General.

Facebook debugger tool also indicating you have a missing fb:id you can fix it by heading over to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Social Meta > Facebook App.

Please change the featured image alt tag inside the post to change the OG:IMG-ALT tag. Article Section Tag seems to appear inside the Facebook debugger tool. It fetches that data from your selected category.

I hope that helps. Thank you, and looking forward to your update.

I want to remove the OG ALT TAg from Facebook

    Hello,

    Thank you for the update.

If you want to remove the <meta property="og:image:alt" content="">, you can add this filter to your active theme’s functions.php file:

    add_filter( 'rank_math/opengraph/facebook/og_image_alt',"__return_false");

Once done, please clear your website’s cache and check again.

    I hope that helps.

Thank you, and looking forward to your update.

    Hello,

Thanks for getting back. Sorry for the delay and any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

The og:image:alt meta tag has been removed from the source of your page. You can check the screenshot that I have attached in the sensitive data section. However, if Facebook doesn’t find the tag in your page then they auto-produce their own alt attribute. That’s why you are seeing the tag in Facebook Sharing Debugger.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you need any further assistance.
