  • When I edited my htaccess as mentioned in the tutorial, my site stopped working because it started redirecting to www version of the website which doesn’t exist.

    Hello,

In this case, I would suggest checking this one with your hosting provider to help you properly redirect the sitemap variations.

Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

When I type the http version of the URL in my browser, they all redirect to https. I also reached out to my host and they said it’s all good from their end.

    Hello,

I checked the URLs with https://httpstatus.io/, and two variations of the sitemap URLs are returning a 200 status. Only one URL should show a 200 status and the rest of the versions should redirect to it.

You can check the www version of the sitemap is returning a blank page:
    https://www.getpurify.co/sitemap_index.xml

Please get in touch with your web host and ask them to redirect to the final version.

    Hope this helps.

We look forward to helping you.

Ok, they did for me. Can you now check now? And how can I index my blog post now?

    Hello,

We can confirm that the sitemap pages are now properly redirected to the last final variation of the sitemap.

You may go ahead and remove all your sitemaps from your Google Search Console and resubmit it.

As for the affected post, we checked everything already. From the robots meta, the canonical, and the robots.txt validation. We can’t find anything on the page source that may hinder the search engine from indexing the said post.

Please check for URLs in your Google Search Console and look for any coverage issues so we can identify why your pages/posts are not indexed.

If there are no coverage issues, then it’s up to Google to index it.

    Looking forward to helping you.

It’s the same as before. The URL is not on Google. It says the page is not indexed. The URL is unknown to Google.

    Hello,

Can you please head over to your GSC’s Coverage section and look for any issue that might be related to the affected URL that is not currently indexed by Google?

Looking forward to helping you with this one.

I checked and the URL is not even in the not-indexed section with an error.

    Hello,

In this case, there may be some other reason Google won’t be indexing your post as we checked the meta tags of the post and they are already configured correctly and there’s no error on the Google Search Console.

At this point, there’s nothing we can do so I suggest contacting Google on what’s stopping them to index the affected post.

    Looking forward to helping you.

Do you know where I can contact Google for this?

    Hello,

Kindly clear your website cache again including any server-level caching services and check the affected URL again in the GSC’s URL inspection tool.

If the same error appears, you may check their help center here: https://support.google.com/websearch/?hl=en#topic=3378866

    Thank you.
