Error with Review Snippet Schema.

    Hey

    Recently we made a switch from Yoast SEO to Rankmath.

    After the switch within 24 hours we started having Review Snippet errors on articles of both our sites.

    We turned the schema setting off by default and individually no articles have schema setting on, but for some reason a good number of blogs still have schemas added to them.

    I need some help fixing this.

    Adding screenshots and website details in sensitive data field, for your reference.

    We checked your website on the real-time SDTT here and we do not see any errors/issues:

    It is likely that the reported issue is old and you just started noticing it in Google Search Console. It doesn’t exist right now.

    With that said, please note that Google has discontinued using the Self-serving Review Schema.

    The schema in your screenshot is not likely to have generated from Rank Math because we removed that schema type a few months ago.

    We have done a lil bit of patch work by switching the schema support off, entirely from the dashboard.

    As soon as I switch the Schema Support on, even though there is no schema selected from the list of schemas, articles get Review schema added by themselves.

    I even cleaned import from the previous schema plugin, but for some reason the problem continues to persist.

    (summary) Have done following things since I raised a ticket:
    – Switched Schema off from the Dashboard.
    – Cleaned import from previous plugin.
    – Cleared cache, just in case there is a problem.

    What should I do next?

    I need to use the schema functionality.

    I am aware that the self serving review schema has been discontinued.

    I dont want it to be working, I just want it removed without meddling with the code.

    I am not being able to find the error, not with Google Structured Data Testing Tool nor with a Chrome extension I use. Did you manage to solve it?

    If not, we might need to take a closer look at the settings, since we can’t find any error now. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

    I have turned the schema on from the dashboard and I think you can see the error now.

    You can access the same URL added in the sensitive data section.

    You can then check the error on structure data testing tool.

    I ll try getting authorization for the login credentials for rankmath team to use.

    We just released an update that could fix the issue (Rank Math 1.0.43) so I have just gone to your website and try to update it. But for some reason, when trying to update we get “There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”. Could you check it so we can continue trying to solve your issue?

    We got the plugin updated to the newest version.

    We still have the same problem and articles still have the review schema.

    If this can not be fixed, I am afraid I ll have to switch back to Yoast.
