Error: “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”

  • Hi.
As it is in the title, I am facing this error when clicking in “settings” or in “setup wizard” in the plugin area. Already tried to uninstall and install again, nothing works. It looks like a common error as I searched for other tickets with the same problem. I noticed that you always ask for login information, I left it on sensitive data. Thanks for your attention.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

I have logged in to your site but I could not reproduce the problem and was able to perform all the setup steps. Please login and launch the setup wizard again via Rank Math > Dashboard > Setup wizard.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

Yeah, it worked, but now I’m facing this same problem: https://support.rankmath.com/ticket/website-does-not-appear-in-dropdown-list/

I already tried to delete the current verification codes that I have done so far and generated a new verification code, but it didn’t work. The website does not appear on the search console profile.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

This suggests that the verification process was not successful the firm time. Please try a different domain verification method such as the DNS method.
Please take a look at this resource page for more info on this: https://support.google.com/a/answer/183895?hl=en

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    It didn’t work.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

If your site profile does not appear on the search console then there might be a configuration issue that can best be addressed by your host.
Please reach out to their support team so that they can help further.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

i am getting the same issue. I have went through numerous posts of your regarding the same issue. I have tried using another user and I still get the same issue.

Yeah, I verified with my host support and they said that there’s nothing wrong with the configuration. See guys, the problem must be in the plugin, not in the host. Please help us.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Please generate a new verification code and share it on the sensitive data section so that I can attempt the authorization from my end.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    Hello @chukwudiokonkwo,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please open a new support ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

We really look forward to helping you.

Here is the solution: uninstall RM, reinstall, then click on the rankmath on your wordpress admin sidebar (black bar usually to the left) and that should start the wizard again! 🙂
