divi not saving

    Hi, I have divi and when I go to try and save anything from the visual builder it doesn’t save. I did try the heath troubleshoot plug in and found that its a divi problem and now I don’t know where to go from there. Is this something you fix on your end or something they need to fix?

    If the changes are not saving while using Rank Math, please check if you have any firewall as there are chances that it will prevent saving the data.

    I’ve checked your site, and it seems that Rank Math’s saving modules are getting blocked.

    In this case, please check if you are using a Firewall, as it may prevent saving the modules. If you are using a Firewall, please whitelist these routes:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/meta-data-not-saving/#firewall

    You can also get in touch with your web host to whitelist these routes on your server firewall.

    Hi, I’ve actually talked with my webhost and they said that its not on their end that’s causing errors. I don’t have a plugin for firewalls either. Any other ideas or if you feel it is the webhost firewall can you tell me what to tell them? Sorry Im not very good at explaining the problem.

    The REST API doesn’t seem to be enabled on your website and that’s why all the routes from our plugin are returning a 404 error.

    A quick way to check the status of the REST API on your website is by accessing the URL: https://yourdomain.com/wp-json and if that returns a 404 error it means this feature is disabled, which is the case for your website.

    You’ll need to enable this core WordPress feature or check with your hosting as to why this feature is disabled and after that, the routes should start working as expected.

    Hi, the webhost fixed the REST API and they said that part is working but its still not saving.

    We tried to save the data from Rank Math now and it’s saving correctly all the focus keywords and changes to the snippets.

    The only thing that we recommend now is switching to the new Divi Builder as the ones you are using is still the old version which is missing a lot of improvements.

    Hi, Sorry I must be doing something wrong then because its still not saving. Is there a way to send you a video of what I’m doing so you can see? Also it says I’m up to date on my plug ins? I cleared my caches and did a hard reload of the website also.

    I have updated the sensitive data as requested. I updated the login to a longer extension and pasted the new code and I added a video of what I’ve been doing. The only way I got any information at all to save was when i didnt use the divi editor but just the wordpress editor. Can you please check further?

    Thanks for sharing the video that explains the issue.

    I have logged in to your site and tried editing the meta description on both Divi Builder and WordPress Editor.

    I was able to edit/save/update the meta description on WordPress editor, however, it was not saved when I tried to do so in Divi Builder.

    This is because when I checked the browser console at the time when Rank Math Editor was opened in Divi Builder, there were a lot of errors in the browser console.

    The errors that were shown are: Uncaught (in promise) {code: 'invalid_json', message: 'The response is not a valid JSON response.'}

    Have a look at the below screenshot –

    Those errors usually are caused when there is a failure to receive an expected response from the server.

    I would recommend getting in touch with your web host to check the REST API Debug log and see if that gives some clues regarding the errors.

    You should also get in touch with the Divi theme support regarding this as the issue is happening with the Divi Builder and not with the default WordPress editor.
