Can’t change any settings on RM

Every time I hit “Save” on any tab from either “Titles and Meta”, or “Sitemap Settings”, nothing is saved and I’m redirected to a page showing “The link you’re trying has expired. Please try again”.

I can’t change anything. Any solution?

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Sorry for the issue you are facing.

Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

Please let us know if you find the culprit.

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

    Looking forward to helping you.

When every plugin and theme was disabled, it still showed the same error. Nothing conflicting at all.

    Hello,

Please record a video screencast using a tool like Loom and share it with us showing the troubleshooting:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

Here’s the screen record of the troubleshoot. I’ve tried to show all the combinations so that it might be clear to you. Looking for a solution.

Note that I’ve tried the solution showed here but it didn’t work for me. Maybe because they are a woo-commerce site whereas mine is a simple blogging site.

    Hello,

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    All done. Please check

    Hello,

Could you please add your FTP logins too so we can dig deeper into this?

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

Please check. It would be great if you let me know what was the problem and how to solve this kind of problem in the future.

    Hello,

    Sorry for the delay.

I checked your site’s configuration, and some values are too low and which you should increase. Please contact your hosting team and ask them to set the following values:

    PHP Memory Limit: 512M
    Max input time: 150
    PHP time limit: 120
    PHP max input variables: 1000

After changing these PHP values, please try again saving your settings.

I hope that helps. Thank you, and looking forward to your update.

    It worked! Thanks a lot!

    Hello,

We are glad to hear that.

If you need further help or with anything else, please open a new support ticket here so we can help.

We are always here for assistance.
