API Error

  • Hello, I am having a similar issue to a few other people I’ve seen post here. In the SEO Analysis tool, it stops after hitting about 40% in “Start Sitewide Analysis” and displays an error: “API Error: Invalid URL. Please try again with a valid URL.” It also only shows 12 total tests, which seems to be low after looking at other people’s notes.

I’ve tried flushing the SEO Analysis data in the Tools area but no change. I’ve also tried running the SEO Analysis about a dozen times as I saw that helped a previous ticket poster, but same results.

  • Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Can you also add some temporary FTP access in the Sensitive Data section so we can enable the debug and see if any errors are logged? To me, it looks like your site is still blocking the rank math API call but just to be sure, I would like to see what message/error is thrown when a call is send to the Rank Math API.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    Hello,

I am getting Connection Timeout Error when I try to login through FTP. Are any IPs blocked on your server?

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    Hello,

It looks like our Analysis API server could not access your site due to some SSL misconfiguration issue on your server (“cURL error 60: Peer’s Certificate issuer is not recognized.”). This probably doesn’t cause any trouble for visitors when they access your site but it could cause other technical issues in the future.

Anyway, we have now made some changes in how the request is made by our API server, to disregard such SSL issues and make sure the request goes through. Now the Analysis seems to be working correctly on your site, and with our online Analysis tool too.

Hope that helps. If there’s any issue, please let us know. Thank you.

Awesome, thank you! It works for me too. I appreciate all your help with this.

Hey, if it isn’t too much to ask for – would you mind leaving us a review here?

It only takes a couple of minutes but helps us tremendously.

It would mean so much to us.

    Thank you.
