    Rank Math free

    Hi,

I’ve been watching the RankMath plugin for a while now. The best thing which prompted me to switch is the support and second it’s features. However, before I activate the plugin, I’d like to ask some questions.

Since my blog has a lot of visitors, I don’t want to interpret or disturb them and it’s really difficult for me to switch. Because there is a risk of losing my ranks on Google and many more risks so I need your help.

  • Hello,

Thanks for your help. Here’s what I’ve done.

    1. The website was and is pointing to www-version.
    2. which AMP plugin should I install and as I’ve no AMP applied, won’t it ruin my website.
    3. How can I handle robots.txt file to you after I’ve deleted it?

    Again thanks for your help.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the update.

I can recommend that you install the following plugin that works well with RM: https://wordpress.org/plugins/accelerated-mobile-pages/
No this will not affect the current state of your website but you will however need to customize the mobile AMP version that will be served to your mobile site visitors. This plugin has different layout options that you can choose from.
    – You do not need to handle the robots.txt anymore since RankMath will automatically create and manage a virtual robots.txt file which you can edit if needs be via Rank Math > General Settings > Edit robots.txt tab.

Let me know if you have additional questions. Thank you.

    Hello,

Thanks for your help. I’ve just installed the AMP plugin and customized it a little bit.
Regarding the robots.txt file I didn’t understand completely. As currently I have robotos.txt file is it okay? Can you check?

I have also started a new validation from search console for the affected mobile pages, hope it work.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the follow up.

Rank Math will not be able to work correctly while the robots.txt file exists on the root of your site. Please delete this file and Rank Math will create a new file to manage all your robots data.
You do not need to worry about this, Rank Math will manage the file for you.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

Thanks for your help. I’ve installed and activated AMP, but it isn’t working normally, like when a user visits Geekrar.com on mobile, he should see the site in AMP version. But instead, it doesn’t. But if you go to this https://www.geekrar.com/amp/ you will see the amp version.

    Hello,

    > 1. The website was and is pointing to www-version.

Not when trying to access the robots file

    robots file

Not sure which phone or phone browser you are trying but when I try to visit geekrar.com from my iPhone running Safari, the AMP is what opens.

If AMP doesn’t work for some reason, you may want to contact your AMP plugin provider.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hi,

Thanks so much until here for help. I’ve finally found to redirect the mobile visitors to AMP version. But when I visit from my computer, I see the AMP version on desktop. I don’t know if this problem is only with me or all over with visitors. Please check it.

Second, I don’t know how do I redirect the www-version. Can you help, please?

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the follow up.

The desktop version of the site loads correctly for me.
You will need to ensure that you clear your browser cache for this to work as expected.

For your other question, you will need to head over to your search console and verify both the root and www version of your domain. Please take a look at the verification methods discussed on this page https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/9008080?hl=en

I hope this info helps. Thank you.

    Hello,

    Great!

The only thing now isn’t okay is pointing non-www to www and I don’t know how to do it.
Can you help me with this?

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the question.

Please follow the verification steps I suggested above to verify your domain using the DNS method. Alternatively, you can create a redirection to redirect to the www version of the robots.txt file by heading over to RankMath > Redirections module.

    I hope this info helps.

Great support, thanks for everything. I’ve verified the Search Console with DNS method, I did it from the cpanel of my hosting.

Regarding the redirection, since I haven’t switched to RankMath, can I do it in any another method?

    HI there,

    Thanks for the follow up.

Please check whether the errors are still getting reported. The redirection will not be necessary if the verification was successful.

I hope this info helps. Thank you.

    Hi,

I have verified Google Search Console using DNS method. Also, I had previously started validation in search console for the errors. But it is not fixed yet, the only change that is shown is that it is written looking good instead of validating in search console. What do you think about it.

But my ranking is affected and I have lost positions in Google. What can I do about it.

Thanks for your help in advance.

    Hi there,

I have checked your page source and it looks like you are not yet running Rank Math on your site, there are also no robots data on the pages.

I would suggest that you install Rank Math on your site so that we can be able to help you better.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Thanks for your support. I’ll install and transfer everything on RankMath but before that I’d like to fix these errors. 6 errors have been solved in Search console but others are remaining. They’ve failed, so I start validation again. What do you think about this.

Also my ranking is affected and I have lost positions in Google. What can I do about it.
