About RankMath

  • Hi,

I’ve been watching the RankMath plugin for a while now. The best thing which prompted me to switch is the support and second it’s features. However, before I activate the plugin, I’d like to ask some questions.

Since my blog has a lot of visitors, I don’t want to interpret or disturb them and it’s really difficult for me to switch. Because there is a risk of losing my ranks on Google and many more risks so I need your help.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today and the awesome feedback!

We are happy to help with the migration and also advise you on any questions that you may have. We have a step to step tutorial on setting up the plugin here https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-setup/ and if you follow all the steps there should no loss in ranking but improvement in your SEO rankings once the plugin is operational.

Let me know if there is any clarification that you would like in a particular step. Thank you.

Thanks for replying back. I love your support, that’s the only reason I’m switching. I’m actually using Yoast SEO and I am really afraid of losing the rankings of the blog when switching from the plugin. In addition to that, there is some problem with indexing that is losing the ranking of my blog.

In this case, I’d like one of you to set up everything because not only it takes alot of time but also I don’t know how to set up. In fact, the most important thing is the ranking of my blog which is currently in danger. So I’d provide the credentials of the blog and you can set up things in matter of some minutes.

    Hi there,

Thanks for getting back to me.

I am sorry if I was not very clear, we are always happy to offer some guidance but we may not be in a position to perform the configuration steps/migration for you since alot of personal information is required on the setup wizard.
I would suggest that you begin by importing all the settings from Yoast as you go through the setup wizard and reach out to us if you get stuck along the way.

    Thank you.

Thanks for replying back. I appreciate that. Since there is a problem with indexing specifically there’s about 49 mobile usability indexing errors on Google search console.

Even when I live test, it shows okay but when I request for indexing, the problem still appears. What do you think about this. Will it be solved with switching to RankMath plugin?

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the question.

Rank Math makes use of virtual robots.txt file that is easier to manage with an intuitive UI to manage robots data for your posts and pages and thus the switch will help to fix this.

I hope this info helps. Thank you.

Okay, I hope it would completely fix the problem. I have some more questions to ask.

Does RankMath have SEO for every post, like the yoast have the SEO for an article at the end where you can set your keyword and see what thing need to be improved.

Second will I lose my ranking when switching? Is RankMath better than Yoast SEO?

Do you have a live chat or call? It’s urgent, please help. It has affected my rankings and traffic significantly.

Thanks a lot for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

Rank Math has SEO options for individual posts as well.

We do not offer live chat or phone support but you can ask us here and we will try our best to help you.

    What issue are you facing?

I’m facing the Mobile Usability errors that is getting more and more. It is now affecting about 53 pages, and have definitely affected my rankings and traffic. Do you have any idea how to solve this?

Please share a screenshot of the issue as well as your website URL so we can check.

Just to be clear, Mobile Usability issues are related to the design of your website. They have nothing to do with SEO or Rank Math.

We look forward to helping you.

Thanks for replying back. I’ve shared the screenshots. If you’d like, please provide me your email so I can add you in search console so you can take a better look. As I have researched, there is some problem with robotx.txt file but I don’t really know if the problems is with it.

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

You can add our support email address support@rankmath.com as an owner on your GSC.
The problem reported on the Mobile friendly test page suggests that you have blocked some Google bots on your robots.txt.
Please check whether this file exists on the root of your site and delete it so that Rank Math can manage your robots data.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

As I had expected, this is a theme related issue. Nothing to do with Rank Math. You would get this even if you aren’t using any SEO plugin or if you use ANY other SEO plugin.

There is no robots.txt issue on your website. I think you are confusing the message because the message says the issue is with the doubleclick robots.txt

    Here’s the reference:

    mobile robots file

And this is the linked robots.txt file:

    There is completely normal.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

A huge thanks for your excellent support. I have added your support email to the Google search console. You may check everything up.

In terms of robots.txt issue, it’s worth mentioning that today I made a little change to the geekrar.com/robots.txt

If you want, I will provide you access to wp-admin. Do you want?

Is this the issue? I don’t think if I have understood your point completely. Please help.

    Thanks for the add.

    Please do these:

    1. Make sure your non-www version of the website is pointed to the www-version.
    2. Use an AMP plugin to fix the mobile usability issues.
    3. Delete the robots.txt file and let Rank Math handle your robots.txt file for you. Just deleting the robots.txt file is sufficient for that.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
