Hello Rakibuzzaman –

Previously a user named Gossip Bazar submitted a ticket indicating that Google Search Console was rejecting a sitemap with the following error: “Your Sitemap appears to be an HTML page.” You provided a detailed response, but they never responded and you closed the ticket.

I am writing to say that I had the same problem and I followed your instructions and my problem is solved. Excluding sitemap.xml from the cache, and clearing the cache solved the problem.

I wanted to simply add a note to the ticket so that others reviewing your instructions know that you did in fact provide a solution that worked for another site. The UI, however, does not allow me to add a reply, but I wanted to express my appreciation for the help you provided Gossip Bazzar…. so I’m doing that here 🙂

Thank you so much for the assistance you provided Gossip Bazar. They’re very clear, easy to follow, and Google can now read my site map.
