XML Sitemap not updatе Last Mod. date

    The problem has been present for several weeks and is not resolved.
    The xml sitemap of the site at [domain.com]/product_cat-sitemap.xml does not change the date of the page change (Last Mod.). I even tried to change content, metadata, and more but it doesn’t change.

    The caching plugin is WP Rocket, as I have polished in it not to cache the sitemaps of the site and even after clearing the cache the date does not change again.

    All modules have been updated to the last version. Also the wp core has been updated to the last version.

    How does this date change and how can it be changed manually?

    Can you please follow these steps?
    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:

    If the issue persists, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

    We are sorry to hear that.

    I am afraid category pages in WordPress do not maintain modification dates like pages and posts do. When creating a sitemap for these therefore, we usually just pick the data it was created in the sitemap.
