Since one of our recent updates, we count the secondary focus keywords towards the keyword density and that might be why you are seeing a higher number there.

Please check if the primary, as well as the secondary focus keywords, combined, are appearing the number of times displayed in the Keyword Density test.

This is not an issue, it is a new feature that will help you to track all the versions of the main focus keyword in your content. If the combined count of keywords is correct then you don’t have to worry about this.

Thank you again, I agree with your suggestions, but there is showing a red star. That means keyword density is too high, right?
According to the Rank Math plugin, Once again I want to show you this notice in Red Star Keyword Density is 3.32 which is high, the Focus Keyword and combination appears 83 times. I saw there are only 14 focus keywords I checked manuually. It is ok if it does not matter in ranking.

Hello,
The point of considering all the keywords in the keyword density test is because when you add multiple focus keywords, you are trying to rank for all of them.
The keyword density test is not meant to check which keyword is used how many times, but if the sum of all the keywords is being considered stuffing, then we advise in that test.
The keyword density test now takes all the variations of the focus keyword into account so you can also type in plural forms, synonyms, LSIs, etc. Thus please check that on your page/post.
