    Hi RankMtath team,

I just added WPML to one of my sites and would like to have language-specific sitemaps. Is this possible with Rankmath or do I need to install a different plugin to do so?

    Thanks

    Hello,

Thank you so much for getting in touch.

WPML puts in hreflang into each page automatically so a new link for each language is not needed.

Please go through the guide here they have on the topic:

    https://wpml.org/documentation/plugins-compatibility/optimize-multilingual-websites-using-rank-math-and-wpml/

Please note that Rank math only creates the default site language sitemap. WPML handles the translation site sitemaps automatically.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

Hi Anas and thanks for the quick reply.
I know that they add a Href lang, but I still want to create an individual XML sitemap for each GEO. Please advise if that is possible by using Rankmmath.

    Thanks

    Hello,

I am sorry but Rank math can only generate the sitemap for your default site. Any related translation sitemap is usually handled by Rank math.

You can try to work around this by choosing separate domains for each of your translations.

    Hope this helps you.

    Thank you

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

The page actually exists, it is the English version of the page you have set as the homepage for your translated page. If you click on the URL, it will actually lead to your translated homepage.

As for this page being in the sitemap, you will find it in the translated sitemap. Check the screencast I have attached in the sensitive section.

Hope this helps you. Thank you.

    Hello,

    Thank you for following up.

Could you please add more details of the issue about the video screencast you have sent? It seems that it is working fine upon watching the video.

We really look forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

    Hi Michael,

    Thanks for the quick answer.
The page does not exist, please see attached screencast in the sensitive section.
And it does not lead to the English translation but the Dutch one. Please re check the screencast that you sent and you’ll see that it leads to the NL version of the site. It redirects to https://topnoaccountcasinos.com/nl/ alltough I’ve never set a rule for it.

I simply need the sitmap to chow the right URL and not a redirection that must have been created by WPML. Can you please advise?

    Thanks

    Hello,

    Thank you for that information.

The common reasons for a post/page not appearing in the sitemap are sometimes caused by the following:

    1. They are set to no-index in Rank math > Titles & Meta or individually.

    2. The sitemap being cached on your site locally or at the server-level. For this head over to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks and hit the save button once. Go to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Sitemap Settings and hit the save button once.

    3. The Canonical URL is set manually in the advanced tab.

I hope that helps. Thank you, and looking forward to your update.
