WP with Divi – Rank Math Not Working After Update

    Hi! My website is kellyandhercamera.com I use WordPress and Divi Builder.

    I had installed Rank Math and set it all up through the wizard. It was fun and worked well for a bit. I was excitedly fixing pages. During the last Rank Math update, it gave me a screen that said, “Website back shortly, update in progress” or something like that. Eventually, my website came back but it said that Rank Math had been disabled because it was not functioning properly. I tried reinstalling the plugin and get the error code — Installation failed: Destination folder already exists.

    Before installing Rank Math, I had used Yoast and imported the Yoast settings. Not sure if that is messing with things? Both Yoast and Rank Math are nowhere to be found on my small list of plugins.

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    The error reported suggests that your server is unable to write the plugin files to the destination wp-content/plugins folder.
    To fix this, please FTP to your server and delete the “seo-by-rank-math” plugin and then head back to your dashboard > Plugins > Add new > Search for Rank Math and then install and activate.

    This should fix the issue.
    PS: No data loss should be experienced in this process.
