WP Staging Pro

I’m using the WP Staging Pro plugin, and when I push changes from my staging to production site, I seem to be losing recent Analytics data. For example, my staging site was created by duplicating my production site in May.

When I push changes today, all analytics data (and I fear possibly some other) data is being overwritten from the older data on the staging site.

I tried disabling the rank_math_ tables from being imported to the production site during the push operation, however my analytics data still got wiped.

    Any ideas?

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support and we regret the inconvenience caused.

As there would have been a change in the root URL of the installation, please reconnect your Google account from your WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Analytics, and configure the Search Console and Analytics settings:reconnect

Once you’ll reconnect and configure the Analytics settings, the data fetch should start automatically.

Please let us know how that goes.

    Thank you.

I’m more interested in understanding why the analytics data is being overwritten by the push operation. Where is the analytics history stored?

Is it in the database, if so, which table(s) are responsible for the data.

If it on the filesystem, where is the exact location?

If you provide that information, I can create an exclusion on the staging/push operation to prevent the data from being overwritten.

    Hello,

All data relating to our Analytics module is stored in the following database tables:

    wp_rank_math_analytics_ga
    wp_rank_math_analytics_gsc
    wp_rank_math_analytics_inspections
    wp_rank_math_analytics_keyword_manager
    wp_rank_math_analytics_objects

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

Looks like I’ll have to resort to your first recommendation. I believe the information that’s being overwritten is in the wordpress options table and the staging plugin doesn’t have a way to exclude entries like that.

Maybe in a future upgrade, you’ll put all of the rank math plugin data into their own tables, to keep them isolated from wordpress tables.

    Hello,

I am glad that we could address your concern. If you have further issues with our plugin, just let us know. We are here to help.

    Thank you.
