I would also like to know how to clear the sitemap cache as it was proposed in other posts to clear files in the above mentioned folder that doesn’t exist though…

If it doesn’t exist, it just means you don’t have one created yet so there is nothing to clean. Why are you trying to clean that cache? Maybe we can help you with it.

You can clear the Rank Math’s sitemap cache by going to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Sitemap Settings.
Hit the save button without changing anything.
You can change the sitemap directory if you want:
https://rankmath.com/kb/filters-hooks-api-developer/#change-sitemap-cache-folder
Or even disable the cache temporarily and then remove the code once you are done:
https://rankmath.com/kb/filters-hooks-api-developer/#enable-disable-sitemap-cache
These codes need to be placed inside your theme’s functions.php file.
