Woocommerce Breadcrumbs Bug in Primary Category

    I reported a bug with breadcrumbs on Woocommerce product pages (primary category) about 3 weeks ago. I managed to resolve the issue by installing, activating and then deleting the “Disable Emails” plugin.     I have just noticed the breadcrumbs are ignoring the primary category again. So I have just installed, activated and then deleted the “Disable Emails” plugin once again and now RankMath breadcrumbs are working correctly using the primary category.

    Please can you take another look at this and see if you can fix it so this doesn’t continue to happen. It’s Driving me crazy as the incorrect breadcrumb is now showing in SERP results!

    Before you ask I am unable to replicate this issue. What happens is after some time I notice the breadcrumbs are not using the primary category any more and then I apply the temporary solution I have described above.

    One thing to note is this bug appears to me to be the same bug I originally reported 10 months ago, which was fixed and no longer was an issue until recently. See this ticket https://support.rankmath.com/ticket/woocommerce-breadcrumb-bug/

    Sorry for the issue you are facing. I checked the Disable Email plugin code and I don’t see any reason why it would conflict with the Rank Math’s Primary Category functionality.

    Can you please create a staging site and add it’s Admin & FTP details in the Sensitive Data Section?

    Thanks for getting back to me and sorry for my delayed response.

    I think you may have misunderstood what I was trying to say. There is no conflict between “Disable Emails” and Rank Math.

    The issue is that RankMath’s breadcrumbs stop showing the primary category in the breadcrumb after some time. Instead it shows the first category in the list on the edit screen in the breadcrumbs.

      I do not know how to replicate this issue, but I have had to report this twice now as the issue keeps returning.

    By installing and activating the “Disable Emails” plugin, it some how clears the issue and everything returns to normal. At that point I delete the plugin and once again everything remains working fine for sometime.

    By the way I also have WP Admin->RankMath->General Settings->Woocommerce->Remove Category Base = On

    I mention the above because I know RankMath has had issues with it in the past.

    Please could you take another look into this.

    We have not been able to come across this issue on our testing environments and I suspect that it could have something to do with caching or some other conflict on your end.
    Could you please get in touch with us the next time you come across this so that we can login and perform some tests before installing the “Disable Emails” plugin?
