    Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

    Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

    If the issue persists, please record a video screencast using a tool like Loom showing the troubleshooting and edit the first post on this ticket and share the screencast link in the designated Sensitive Data section.

    When Rank Math is active

    Background updates are responsible for automatically updating WordPress as soon as a security patch for your version of the system is released.

    Error The plugin prevents updates by disabling wp_version_check ().

    May I know if you have conducted the plugin conflict test as mentioned by my colleague in the first reply? If not yet, please conduct the troubleshooting guide and make sure you have the latest version of Rank Math Installed before doing so.

    Please check if your website meets the system requirements of Rank Math. You may refer to this link: https://rankmath.com/kb/requirements/

    You may also turn on WordPress Debugging mode and send us the error logs so that we can further check what’s causing this issue.

    If you prefer, we can take a closer look at the settings. Edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

    I’ve checked the setup wizard and it’s redirecting to the admin dashboard. To troubleshoot this issue, we would need to uninstall and remove all the data, then do a fresh install.
