Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
Google will display the meta description depending on the search intent and sometime the search algorithm will completely ignore your meta description and pick text from the page.
I have checked the Google cache and the right description has been saved and tus this should not cause any worry:
Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
Hi there, for our homepage, the meta description seems to be working fine, however the meta title is showing just “sell – laptop | Canitcash” where it should be showing “Sell Your Laptop, MacBook, iPhone, and iPads for Cash!”.
Do the same rules apply here? Or is something maybe overriding it?
Thanks
Hi again, one more follow-up. I was reading a forum post about a code that may be in our theme’s header.php causing an issue.

Not sure if this is always what could be happening as well.
Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.
I have taken a look at your your page source and everything seems to be set up correctly. I don’t think that this is related to the error that you referenced.
Please give this some time and let us know if it gets updated.
Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
Weird, it seems certain websites scan it correctly, https://www.woorank.com/en/www/canitcash.com, yet by simply doing a Google search for Canitcash, we still get the incorrect Sell laptop – Canitcash meta title. We’ve had yoast installed previously, do you know by chance if there are any leftover files when you delete a plugin that could be causing Google to read this incorrectly?
Sorry for all the questions, just trying to figure this out. Will of course give it some time as well to see if it corrects itself.
I believe that’s just a Google thing on Google’s side. A new thing I just noticed however is our Bing meta descriptions aren’t correct. Is this along the same lines? Thanks again for all the help.
Hello,
Yes, probably it is happening the same with Bing. Just let Bing a few days to recrawl your website and everything will be fine, since I have checked your website and your meta descriptions are fine.
Also, I don’t know if you have already done that, but if not, you could try and add the sitemap to the Bing Webmaster Console and maybe Bing will crawl your website faster.
Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
