    Rank Math free

I hope you can help. I can’t get Google bot to accept my new site.
    I recently launched a 2nd site http://www.certificateplaque.com

I can not get Google to accept the site. I keep getting errors below. I have RankMath running.
This is a clone of my previous site http://www.diplomaplaquelaminators.com with updates to reflect certificates. I deleted RankMath and reinstalled it fresh to the new site.
I inserted by FTP in the root directory my own robots.txt

    User-agent: Googlebot
    Disallow: /wp_admin/
    User-agent: *
    Allow: /
    Sitemap: https://www.certificateplaque.com/sitemap.xml

Do you have a better robots.txt file that I should use with this WordPress site? It would be appreciated.

Does RankMath add one automatically if I delete the current one?

I also added a sitemap.xml to the root diectory.

Can you help please. I am so frustrated.
    Thank you so much.
    Take care.

    Best,
    Fred

  • Hello,

I’m sorry to hear about the issues you are facing with Google not accepting your new site http://www.certificateplaque.com. It seems like there might be some configuration issues related to your robots.txt file and sitemap.

Based on the information you provided, it appears that you have manually added a robots.txt file to your site’s root directory. When using Rank Math, it automatically generates a robots.txt file at https://yourdomain.com/robots.txt. If you have added a custom robots.txt file, it might be conflicting with Rank Math’s generated file.

To resolve this issue, please follow these steps:

    1. Check for Existing Robots.txt File:

      • Log into your WordPress root directory using cPanel or an FTP application.
      • Confirm if there is another robots.txt file present. If found, delete it to avoid conflicts with Rank Math’s robots.txt file.
    2. Edit Your Robots.txt File:

      • If you have added custom rules to your robots.txt file, ensure they are not blocking Google from crawling your site.
      • You can refer to this guide on how to edit robots.txt with Rank Math for assistance.
    3. Verify Sitemap Submission:

    4. Rank Math Sitemap Issues:

If after following these steps you continue to experience issues, please assign this ticket to a human agent for further assistance.

Thank you for reaching out, and we appreciate your patience.

    Best regards.
