    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math, and sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Can you please follow these steps?
    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
    https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp

    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/

Once done, remove all the sitemaps and submit only the sitemap_index.xml in Google Search Console and wait for Google to recrawl the sitemap.

For more details, please refer to this tutorial guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/couldnt-fetch-error-google-search-console/

On the other hand ‘strip category base‘ feature is not working

Please enable the Strip Category Base option and see if the issue is fixed after saving the permalinks (in the first step above).

homepage URL is showing in post sitemap

The default posts page is displayed in the post sitemap. If you’ve set your Homepage as the posts page, then it would be added to the sitemap.

If you would set a static homepage, then the homepage’s URL would be removed from your post sitemap, and the page that you allot to display the latest posts would be added in-place.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.
