I’m currently rebuilding a live website lets call it “domain.com”.
This new version is also live on a subdomain, lets call it “new.domain.com”.For multiple reasons the subdomain is live and non-password protected and I’ve gone into WordPress Dashboard “Settings > Reading” and enabled “Search Engine Visibility” to “Discourage search engines from indexing this site”.
Does these settings disable Rank Math entirely from working until it’s disabled?
For example I would like to setup all the SEO properly such as setup all the SERPS and tell it to Index properly but doing so would result in Indexing the incorrect domain. Would we need to edit your “Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Global Meta > Robots Meta” and disable the Indexing in there as well or would the Search Engine Visibility disable it completely until re-enabled?
The end goal would be to complete all the SEO then transfer it back to “domain.com” and then restore the “Search Engine Visibility” to encourage search engines from indexing this site.
