What is a good header hierarchy?

I think I don’t have a good hierarchy of headings, I would like some clarification.

I used h1 for the thiols, h2 for the rest including the FAQ and h3 for the pros and cons.

But I think it would have been better:
    – H1 for the title
    – H2 for the first header after the TOC
    – From the second h2 becomes h3, because I describe the game
    – H2 the title of the FAQ
    – H3 the title of each rankmath FAQ block
    – H2 the title pros and cons
    – H3 the words pros and cons

The conclusion is currently after the game description, which is too early. I think it should be the last header. Also, I don’t know what header to use. H2? H4?

Will these changes improve SEO or is it perfect as I have done so far?

  • Hello,

I appreciate your attention to optimizing your header hierarchy for better SEO. Based on the information you provided, here are some suggestions to improve your header hierarchy:

    1. H1 for the Title: Using H1 for the title is a good practice as it signifies the main heading of the page.

    2. H2 for the First Header After the Table of Contents: This is a good approach to maintain a clear hierarchy.

    3. From the Second H2 Becomes H3: Transitioning from H2 to H3 after the first H2 can help in maintaining a structured hierarchy.

    4. H2 for the Title of the FAQ: Using H2 for the FAQ title is appropriate.

    5. H3 for Each Rank Math FAQ Block: Using H3 for each FAQ block title is a good way to organize the content.

    6. H2 for the Title Pros and Cons: Using H2 for the pros and cons title is suitable.

    7. H3 for the Words Pros and Cons: Using H3 for detailing the pros and cons can help in maintaining a clear structure.

    8. Moving the Conclusion to the End: Placing the conclusion at the end of the content is a good practice. You can use H2 or H3 for the conclusion based on its importance in relation to other headings.

By implementing these changes, you are aligning your content with a more structured header hierarchy, which can positively impact SEO. Clear and organized headings help search engines understand the content and improve user experience.

If you make these adjustments, it should enhance the SEO optimization of your page. Remember to focus on providing valuable and relevant content along with a well-structured header hierarchy for better SEO performance.

I prefer a further opinion from a human, as confirmation.

    Hello,

Proper header hierarchy is indeed crucial for both user experience and SEO optimization. The structure you described is okay and should be understandable by both humans and Search Engines.

The H1 tag should reflect the main title of your page. This should accurately reflect the content of the page and include relevant keywords.

You should use H2 tags for major sections of your content, such as the introduction, main content sections, FAQs, pros and cons, etc. Each H2 tag should represent a significant division or topic within your content.

For the H3, within each major section (H2), use H3 tags for subsections or subtopics. This helps to further organize your content and make it easier for readers to navigate.

The conclusion can be marked with either an H2 or H3 tag, depending on its importance relative to other sections. If it’s a major concluding point, use H2. If it’s more of a subsection within the conclusion, use H3.

Clear, well-structured headers help search engines understand the organization and relevance of your content, which can improve your chances of ranking well for relevant keywords.

    We hope that helps.

H1 is the title of the game or category. I remember in the past that if I changed the h1, the permalink would also change. This is not good for an online gaming site.

    Hello,

Your theme in most cases uses the title of the page/post as the H1 of that page and when creating a new page the title of the page is usually adapted as the slug. This is the default behaviour for most themes.

Maintaining consistency of your permalink structure is very important for your SEO efforts and if a change is required you should setup 301 redirects from the old URLs to the new URLs to ensure no SEO value is lost.
