Weird 404 Errors Including Set of Code

    It’s been a while now I get this type of 404 errors in the 404 error monitor. I understand how normal 404 errors work and I redirect them to the right link. However, I have no idea what these errors are and how how harmful they could be.

    These weird errors could be made into two groups. Those with unction e(){for(var n=t.styleSheets,r=n.length;r–;)if(n[r].href===l.href)return a();setTimeout(e in them, and those with random urls. Some of them inculde my website’s IP and not the domain name.

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    You can make use of the referrer column to identify the source of the 404 errors. Some of the referrers on your screenshot are internal files that might have been deleted or perhaps moved to a new directory eg the one with backup.sql.
    Some of these 404s with the functions suggest that one of your installed plugins was trying to reference a URL that does not exist. You should work to identify the plugin if the hits increase at a high rate.

    Thank you Davis for your reply. Is there a plugin to detect the source of these errors?

    Also, are these harmful for SEO even if they are not indexed by Google?

    Apologies for the delay.

    I am not familiar with any plugin that would help in this. Please note that these kind of 404 errors do not affect the SEO of your site since plugin files are not indexed by search engines.
    This however poses a threat to user experience if the plugin 404 errors cause pages to break. I would suggest that you get in touch with the authors of the affected plugins so that they can advise on the causes of the errors.
