  • Hello,

We apologize for the inconvenience you’re experiencing with the unexpected 301 redirections on your website. We understand the frustration this can cause and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

To address the issue, we recommend following these steps:

    1. Check for Other Redirection Plugins Installed: Ensure that there are no other redirect plugins installed that might have configured any redirects. If you find any, delete them immediately and check if the issue is resolved.

    2. Check for Redirections Created with Rank Math: Verify if you’ve accidentally created “broad redirects” using Rank Math’s redirection option. Open the recently created redirection inside Rank Math and look through its settings to ensure that no misconfigurations are causing the issue.

    3. Perform a Theme or Plugin Conflict Check: Sometimes, conflicts between plugins or themes can cause unwanted 301 redirects. You can perform a quick conflict check on your website to identify and resolve any conflicts that might be causing the issue.

If after following these steps, the issue persists, please feel free to reach out to our support team directly by opening a ticket on our support forum here. Our support team is available 24×7 and will be happy to assist you further.

We hope this information helps in resolving the redirection issue. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

    Best regards.

Your bot gave some okay tips, but none of them works. We even have disabled all plugins (including RankMath), cleared cache and the redirect issue still persists.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for the issue you are facing.

As you have mentioned redirection occurs even when you deactivate all your plugins (including Rank Math), that means that the Rank Math plugin is not causing the redirection issue on your site.

To fix the redirect issue, you can:
    1. Reset the permalinks and check if that fixes the issue.
    2. Check the .htaccess file and see if that is corrupted or misconfigured.
    3. Check if you have used any custom Javascript that may cause the issue.
    4. Change the theme to the default theme and check if that fixes the issue.
    5. Check if your site has malware.

If still facing redirect issues, please get in touch with your hosting provider and ask them to check the issue.

Let us know if you need anything else.

    Thank you.

Thanks! We’ve tried #1 & #2, all good and the issue still persists.

As for #3, can you share with me some details? e.g. where and how to troubleshoot this.

Would be great if you could share some other relatively easy fixes that we should try first, before doing #4 (which can be quite time-consuming).

    Hello,

For the Author page, please head over to your WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Authors, and from there make sure the Author Archives is enabled:

Regarding the /support/ page, please check if you’ve set any redirection for this page in Rank Math redirection. If you’re unable to find any, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.
