    Rank Math free

Hi. A few days ago I installed Rank Math, and it seems to have worked well, but visits to my website have declined brutally. Several days have passed and it seems that Google punishes me because visits decreased from 2500 to 250 per day.
    Please help.
    Thank you

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

This is quite unexpected, could you please login to your Google search console and check whether there are any errors that are reported since the transition?

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

Search Console has corrected some problems. I think that is not the problem.
I remember that I configured “AMP for WP” plugin so that all visits from mobile go to /amp.
Michael, do you think that’s the problem?
    Thank you

    Hello,

    Apologies for the delay.

Yes this could cause a problem. I have tested your homepage on the amp validator https://search.google.com/test/amp and there are problems on the AMP page.
I would suggest that you get in touch with the guys from Amp for WP so that they can help in fixing these error.

    Thank you.

    Hello Michael.
I have the Homepage and Categories disabled for AMP. Should I include them?
At the same time that I installed Rank Math, my publications are no longer visible in local Google News. Will it be some configuration?
    Thank you

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the question.

Yes you should include them. The Rank Math plugin does not however support Google News sitemap yet. You can fix this by disabling the Rank Math sitemap module via Rank Math > Dashboard You can then install the following plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/xml-sitemap-feed/

I hope this info helps. Thank you.

That’s how I have it set up Michael.

I used Yoast SEO, you can configure 2 categories / featured / and / mycategory / Now I have thousands of duplicate posts.

    Example: / featured / post1
    / mycategory / post1

Should I remove them or redirect?
    How can I do it?

    Thank you Michael

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the follow up.

Deleting the posts might have some consequences such as 404s on pages that link to these posts. Redirections would be a better choice.

I hope this info helps. Thank you.

Can you help me? How do i do it?
    Thank you

    Hello,

Thanks for getting back to us.

To redirect the categories to the new ones, please create a new regex redirection via Rank Math > Redirections and in the source field, add below code:
    [featured/(.*)]
and in the destination URL, add this code:
    mycategory/$1

I hope this info helps. Thank you.
