    Hi,

I have a made an template page for my overview listing based on location. I make use of %termName%. to show the on page text correctly to the user actions. I would like to improve the onpage SEO for these type of pages, but I’m not sure if it’s possible using a variable such as %termName% to do this.

For example someone is looking for product x in Amsterdam, My Focus keyword would be product x in %termName%. And if an other user search for the same product in example berlin can also use as keyword product x in %termName%?

Will google know that specific page the location is variable? And if this doesn’t work do you have any ideas how I could achieve somewhat like this?

    looking forward to your response

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

The %term% variable should only be used on taxonomy pages such as categories. To use them on listings, you can attempt using th custom termname variable and see if it works for you. Let us know how it goes.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    Thank you for your reaction.

Sorry i wasn’t clear, but i meant to use it for my taxonomy page what shows the listings in a specific location. Is it possible to use it on taxonomy pages? so google will index it on the %term% name (example; amsterdam or berlin)?

    Looking forward to your reply!

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

You can achieve this by setting the title and the term like below:

    Hi,

That is just for On page SEO.

For content shown inside the page, you can use the regular editor.

Else, please explain what you are trying to do so we can help you better.

    Hi,

Thank you for your response. I’m a newbie with this, but i will try to explain.

For example if I take this page; https://bewonderbij.nl/Echocentra-locatie/pretecho-in-noord-holland/

I have a few keywords I try to rank for, but the search term are combined with different locations so: “Product a in location Variable” and Product b in location Variable” The product will always be the same, but the location changes.

I’m using elementor in combination with the wilcity theme. For the text on the taxonomy pages i’m using elementor. Is it possible as with the snippet to use something like %term% or %title% in text made with elementor?

    Hello,

Thank you for the follow up.

You can create location categories, which you can then include in your URL, title or description.

Rank math has Elementor integration which adds an SEO tab on elementor and allows you to modify on page SEO. You can modify the title and term settings there.

I hope I have answered your question. Please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
