Using SEO analyzer for Keywords

    Rank Math free

Hi. I enjoy Rank Math in WordPress

Here is the question about using stop words or presuppositions in keyword phrase

My site is about pest control.

If I use the keyword phrase several times on the home page “pest control in San Diego”,
but I only input “pest control San Diego” into Rank Math Seo Keyword Analyzer on the right side of the editor, will Rank Math SEO Analyzer still recognize the keyword used without the stop word “in”????

In other words, I want to use the keyword without the word “in”, but want SEO Analyzer to recognize it towards keyword density. I hope that make sense.

    Thanks Steve

  • Hello,

Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

In our plugin, the content needs to contain the exact focus keyword you have entered. Unlike Yoast or other SEO plugins which are forgiving when it comes to matching the keywords with more than 1 word or word with apostrophes in their tests, Rank Math needs to have an exact match.

At the moment, we don’t have immediate plans to change this behavior but if this is something we can change in the future, we will be sure to let you know.

With that said, having a mismatch of keywords on our Content analysis will not cause any ranking as long as you have used the primary focus keyword “pest control San Diego” in a natural and relevant manner on your home page.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
