Hello,
Thanks for contacting us, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
Can you please confirm if you’ve changed your site URL recently?
Please head over to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > General and make sure there are no mismatches in the WordPress URL and Site URL in those options.
If you have different website URLs in there, that would explain the error message as they need to match for the connection to happen correctly.
After that, please try disconnect and reconnecting your Rank Math account again to see if this resolves your issue.
Let us know how this goes. Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Did all that, also the “hook” snippet installed, saved permalinks, cleared cash, but the notification stays.
Regards,
Alex
Hello,
Please clear the transients at Rank Math > Status & Tools > Database Tools > Remove transients
If the issue persists, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
We really look forward to helping you.
Thx, but what I tried first was deactivate, then reactivate. Works like a glove. Can I lose the ‘hook’snippet now, or should I keep it?
Hello,
I’m not sure what hook you’re using currently. Can you please share the hook with us? So that, we can understand and suggest if you should keep that or not.
Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
The one suggested here by support staff Anas about disabling domain checking.
Regards, Alex
Hello,
The filter you’ve added is currently preventing Rank Math to check for any mismatch in the Site Address (URL) and WordPress Address (URL) in the settings. Once you remove the filter, the warning may appear on your screen again in future.
Hope that helps, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
Thank you.
