    Dear Rank Math Team,

I hope this message finds you well. Yesterday, I installed Instant Indexing and followed the Google Cloud Console process, including uploading the JSON file into the Instant Indexing plugin. However, since then, my sitemap in search console is displaying a ‘Couldn’t Fetch’ error, whereas it consistently showed a success message in previous months.

In a state of panic, I deleted the JSON file and readded it. Additionally, I removed and re-added the Google Cloud account ownership rights in Search Console. Unfortunately, none of these actions has resolved the issue. As a result, my entire site is now landing on a ‘NOT FOUND’ page.

This situation is critical for me as I’ve written around 80 articles and was planning to apply for AdSense. I urgently need to resolve this issue as my career depends on it.

I would greatly appreciate any assistance or guidance you can provide to help me resolve this matter promptly.

Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter. PLEASE HELP ME RESOLVE THESE ISSUES.

    Best regards,
    Malvika Kamath

  • Hello,

We apologize for the inconvenience you’re experiencing with your site after attempting to use the Instant Indexing feature. We understand the urgency of the situation and we’re here to help.

It seems like there might be an issue with the sitemap after enabling the Instant Indexing feature. To resolve this, please follow these steps:

    1. Rename the sitemap file by adding a new sitemap in Google Search Console with the URL `https://rankmath.com/kb/google-site-verification/ You can do this by navigating to Indexing → Sitemaps in the Search Console and pasting the correct sitemap URL in the Add a new sitemap field.

    2. If the sitemap still returns a “Couldn’t Fetch” error, ensure that the sitemap is set up correctly. You can refer to our guide on troubleshooting sitemap issues here.

    3. Add the correct site URL to Google Search Console and verify it if you haven’t already done so. You can refer to our knowledgebase article on adding a URL property to the Search Console here.

If you’ve followed these steps and are still facing issues, please feel free to reach out to our support team directly from here. Our team is available 24×7 and will be happy to assist you further.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve this issue promptly.

    Best regards

    Hello,

I appreciate your provided solutions. Regarding the link you shared (‘https://rankmath.com/kb/google-site-verification/’), I had already verified my website property initially.

Concerning the sitemap, I experimented with two variations, and fortunately, one worked. However, when I further click on the sitemap index link on the search console, I get some more errors.

i shared the new screenshot named 2nd Dec. please check.

    Best regards,
    Malvika

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Could you please share your sitemap URL with us so that we can check the issue further for you?

Meanwhile, please try to follow the steps below and see if that works for you:

    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
    https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp

    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/

Once done, clear your website cache, remove all the submitted sitemap, and resubmit only the /sitemap_index.xml in the Search Console.

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Hello,

We deeply apologize for the unexpected delay in response. We’ve checked your website but we couldn’t find any issue there.

In this case, you can remove all the submitted sitemaps from your Google Search Console and then submit only /?sitemap=1 and see if that works for you.

However, please note that a sitemap is only one of many ways Google discovers the URLs of your site. So, even without a sitemap, Google can index your pages. In this case, if your pages are not getting indexed, please share some affected URLs so that we can check the issue further for you.

You can check your Google Search Console coverage section to determine any issues reported on your site: https://support.artlogic.net/hc/en-gb/articles/360016851260-Google-Search-Console-errors-and-coverage-issues

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

    Thank you.

146 not indexed it says. have shared 2 links for your reference. random posts on my page which arent indexed. and also shared other 2 screenshots. please check.

also does so many unindexed pages affect adsense approval?

and why is index me now not working? ideally instant indexing means every post should be indexed immediately right? else what is the use of the plugin? please explain.

    thank u
