    Firstly, xml shows up 4-5 time later
    Opening /sitemap_index.xml => 404

    To address this issue, please follow these steps:

    1. Flush the Sitemap Cache: Navigate to Rank Math SEO → Sitemap Settings and change the Links Per Sitemap as shown in the screenshot below:

      After changing the settings, save the changes and then navigate to Settings → Permalinks and hit the Save Changes button once, even if you didn’t make any changes on the page.

    2. Exclude the Sitemap Files in the Caching Plugin: If you are using a caching plugin like WP Rocket, ensure that you have excluded the sitemap_index.xml file from caching.

    If the issue persists after following these steps, please let us know, and we will be happy to assist you further.

    Hello,

    Can you please try following the steps below to see if that works for you?

    #1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

    #2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server.

    I removed the cache plugin.
    Early on when I was clicking on “Clear cache” sitemap was loading. But after 4-5 times refresh it became 404.
    After removing no effects, it loads after I open Rank Math Settings page for a while and then becomes 404.
