I cannot edit the SEO title, description, or keywords manually. I hit update, and when the page everything returns to default. Updating it through Elementor returns a 403 error “invalid JSON”.

    Hello,

Thanks for contacting us and we’re sorry for the trouble you’re having with Rank Math.

There are a few possible reasons why you can’t save your SEO Title on your site. Here are some steps you can take to fix this issue:

    • Make sure that you have the latest version of Rank Math installed on your site. You can check this by going to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Status & Tools > Version Control. If there is an update available, you will see a notification and a button to update the plugin
    • Check if there are any plugin conflicts that might be interfering with Rank Math. You can do this by following our plugin conflict tutorial. If you find any conflicting plugins, let us know.
    • Check if your site’s firewall or security plugin is blocking the REST route used by Rank Math. You can do this by visiting this URL in your browser (replace example.com with your domain name):

      https://example.com/wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateMeta

If you see a response like {“code”:”rest_no_route”,”message”:”No route was found matching the URL and request method”,”data”:{“status”:404}}, then your REST route is not blocked. But if you see a notice that your access has been denied by a firewall, then you need to whitelist Rank Math and its files in your firewall settings.

Here’s the full list of Rank Math routes you need to whitelist:

      /wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateMeta
      /wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateSchemas
      /wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateRedirection
      /wp-json/rankmath/v1/getFeaturedImageId
      /wp-json/rankmath/v1/getHead
