  • Hello,

I’m sorry to hear that you are facing an issue with updating your meta SEO title and description, and you are receiving the error message “Updating failed. The response is not a valid JSON response.” This error can occur due to various reasons, including plugin conflicts or JavaScript-related errors.

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:

    1. Plugin Conflicts: Plugin conflicts can sometimes prevent the SEO title and description from being saved. You can follow our guide on checking for plugin conflicts to identify and resolve any conflicts.

    2. JavaScript-Related Errors: JavaScript errors can also cause issues while saving your SEO title and description. You can diagnose JavaScript-related errors by following the steps outlined in this WordPress guide.

If you have already checked for plugin conflicts and JavaScript errors but are still facing the issue, please ensure that your meta descriptions and titles are within the recommended character limits and that you are using supported emojis if applicable.

If the issue persists after following these steps, please feel free to reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further.

Thank you for reaching out with your concern.
