update meta in existing posts

  • I am trying to set up the description headquarters according to your guide to posts that already exist on the site. And it is not updated. I would love to understand why

  • Hello,

Thanks for contacting us and we regret the inconvenience caused.

Could you please record and share a screencast using a tool like loom, as it will help us understand the insights of the issue?

    Looking forward to helping you.

And when I go to the pages themselves, I do not see any content that exists in the
metadescription . Nor in the new pages we build

    Thanks for your reply.

Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

For more details, please refer to this tutorial guide:

Please let us know how that goes.

I did what you sent me here.
    That’s not the problem.
Because as soon as I turn on the Rank Math plugin it shows me that the description is gray and not really defined

    Thanks for your reply.

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your Website’s URL and WordPress logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Thanks for your reply.

I logged into your website’s admin area but I was unable to replicate the issue. The meta description and title are getting saved without any issues. Please see the screencast available in the sensitive data section of this ticket and confirm it on your end.

Also, please let me know if I’m missing something.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

So I do not understand how I cause in all the posts and in all the pages and in all the downloads that it will attract the meta description alone?
Because I have tens of thousands of pages on this site.
I do not find such an option.
When I check my research tool I see that thousands of pages are missing with a description meta

    Thank you for the follow-up.

I’ve checked the affected URL you have shared, and it seems that the Max Snippet option is disabled
    Max Snippet

This will set the number of characters for the snippets provided by the plugin. The default value is -1, which means that the snippet entered in the plugin will be displayed as it is. You can specify the number of characters to display here, but it is recommended to set this to default.

You can check this link for more information:

Please try enabling that option and see if your research tool can detect the meta description for your pages.

I hope that helps. Thank you, and looking forward to your update.

I enabled this option, and it still did not fix the problem ..
I do not see the description automatically

Thank you for the follow-up, and sorry for the delay.

I’ve checked the affected URL you have shared in the sensitive data, and you haven’t yet enabled the Max Snippet option. I’ve already enabled it for you and please try checking again.

If the issue still persists, the report you are seeing seems a false positive report from the tool you are using. As you can see with my colleague’s screencast in the sensitive data section, the meta description is already showing as well in the page’s source code. You can also verify that using this tool.

I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need further assistance with anything else.
