I am using using rank math plugin and i want to upgrade my google universal analytics to Ga4 so is there anything that I need to know? Or I should just upgrade it (I mean do I need to add tags or anything else after I upgrade)

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and bringing your concern to our attention.

If you are already connected with your Google Analytics account then you can easily create a GA4 property by following the steps from here: https://rankmath.com/kb/using-ga4/#ga4-property

To learn more about GA4, you can check this URL: https://rankmath.com/blog/google-analytics-4-integration/

Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.

I have already contacted Google analytics account to my website but it is old version universal analytics so if I migrate from universal analytics to Ga4, Do I need to change any rank math settings?

    Hello,

To migrate from UA to GA4, you’ll just have to create new GA4 property (if you don’t have any) by following the steps I’ve shared above. However, in order to change your current Google Account settings, you’ll have to reconnect your Google Account from WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Analytics:

Also, please note that for a newly created property, it will take a few hours to collect and display the initial data in Google Analytics.

Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thank you.
