    Good evening,
I am French, so sorry in advance for my approximate English.
In the part (404 Monitor) I have a 404 error that I do not understand.
Here is the address and details:
    http:// www. mynamesite. fr/vendor/phpunit/phpunit/phpunit.xsd
    Hits: 6
    Date: just December 3rd

Knowing that my site is in “https” while this url is in “http”
What is your “Vendor” directory for ?
And why this error 404 that day, did I do something wrong ? Should I remove this error or do a 301 redirect to another page ?
Or do I have to change something in the RankMath settings ?

    Thanks for your help.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

This 404 error is referencing a folder on the root of your site, it is likely that this file was added your host and may not be present anymore.
The 404 monitor will detect any missing file detected when the server or bots are accessing your site. This may not be directly related to something you did and may not affect your SEO but it is always wise to redirect such errors to your homepage but if the hits are not so many you can ignore the error.
Please take a look at this page for more info on this:

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

Thank you for taking the time to answer me.
The folder (vendor) is not at the root of the site, it is at the root of the RankMath plugin (in the folder of your plugin).
Is this normal? Is all the files and files inside (see
    screenshot) is this normal too?
    Thanks for your help.

    Hello,

    Thanks for the follow up.

We have a vendor folder in our plugin but it does not match the path from the 404 error log.

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.
