Unable to uncheck and save categories

  • I’m unable to uncheck and save categories. Unchecked categories simply get re-checked after saving. Using WP 5.6.2 and RM 1.0.58. Please advise.

    Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

    To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:

    Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

    If the issue persists, please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

    Thank you for that additional information.

    I’ve checked the event you have provided, and it seems that it is working fine.

    The event only belongs to category number 1. Classique et opera and unchecking it leave that event to have no categories at all. That’s why when you save it, it reverts back to the default category. If you choose another category and uncheck number 1, it will be saved.

    Point is, our client doesn’t want any category to be selected.

    When editing an event with RankMath disabled, this is possible. In this case, RankMath seems to be preventing from doing so. Please advise in how to fix this.

    We logged into check the issue but there is no category selected in the event you added in the sensitive data section.

    We have added a screencast showing you the same.

    If there is some other process for seeing the issue, please record a screencast using loom.com or share the steps so we can check again.
