Instructions I received said to open a new section on the site, add Shortcode widget, and copy and paste Rank Math breadcrumb code into widget. When published, the code is what shows on the site. No breadcrumbs. Likewise, I tried this using Astra’s breadcrumb code, after ensuring that it was allowing Rank Math to control the breadcrumbs. Same problem. Rank Math is installed and enabled, and the breadcrumbs function is permanently enabled by default. I went to the Astra theme customizer, which is where I enabled Rank Math, and did what I could there. Instructions I received from the Rank Math support bot told me to go to Appearance>Theme File Editor to edit the header.php file. I received a warning from WordPress that making alterations could break my site, so I knew to proceed with caution. I was told to look for either <header> or </header> in the header.php code. Did not find either of these, and was not willing to interpret anything else in the code as an ‘alternative’ to this. I need to know how to successfully add breadcrumbs to my site. Please help.
