    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math, and sorry for any inconvenience caused.

I checked the sitemap URLs with https://httpstatus.io/, and all variations of the sitemap are returning 200 status.
    variation

Please follow this guide and redirect to a final variation:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/couldnt-fetch-error-google-search-console/#num-5-4-redirect-all-three-other-versions-to-your-preferred-variation

Once done, clear your website cache and remove all the sitemaps and submit the sitemap_index.xml in the Search Console.

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.

    Hi Anas, thx from help!

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support and we regret the inconvenience caused.

I checked and your sitemaps are loading properly. However, upon accessing the sitemap as Googlebot, I received a 403 Forbidden error. Here’s a screenshot for a quick reference: https://i.rankmath.com/eeqtah

This is likely the reason for the error you’re getting on the sitemaps.

Please get in touch with your web host and ensure that Googlebot is not blocked from accessing the sitemaps.

Once done, please follow the below steps and see if that helps:
    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
    https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp

    2. Please exclude the Sitemap files of Rank Math from the caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article: https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/

    3. Clear your website’s cache and remove all the sitemaps from your Google Search Console account, and then submit only the main sitemap: /sitemap_index.xml

    Here’s a guide with more details: https://rankmath.com/kb/submit-sitemap-to-google/

Further, give Google some time to crawl your website again and see if that helps.

Let us know how that goes.

    Thank you.

I talked to my host and they did a scan for me.
Unfortunatly everything looks fine at the server side.

I tested the Robots.txt as google bot and passed

I also followed the 3 steps Prabhat sugested.

    Still the same issue.

I never saw this before. 🙁

    Hello,

We checked your sitemap on our end including the robots.txt and it seems to be loading just fine.

Please try applying this filter code to your theme’s functions.php file and flush the sitemap again.

    add_filter( 'rank_math/sitemap/enable_caching', '__return_false');

After doing so, submit it again to your Google Search Console account.

Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Hi guys,
    Thx for you time.

I did all the steps you recomended.

    Also app “add_filter( ‘rank_math/sitemap/enable_caching’, ‘__return_false’);” to function.php

    Flushed all

And Search Console still cant read/search the sitemap.

I sent the sitemap to bingwebmaster with sucess, look:

    https://docs.google.com/document/d/1whYFLKNbiik3CsA-1Mz6MYpqcfDFpTBoVqpmT9UlfG4/edit?usp=sharing

    And google still stucked 🙁

    Hello,

I tested the sitemap again as Googlebot and still, the 403 Forbidden status is returned:

When testing as Bingbot, the sitemap is getting accessed properly with a 200 OK status:

We suggest you reach out to your web host again and ask them to perform a thorough check. You can ask them to access the website as Googlebot and see the returned status or see if Googlebot is able to access the sitemap or not.

Once done, you can clear your website and server’s cache (if any) and wait for Google to crawl the website again and see if the issue gets fixed.

Let us know how that goes.

    Thank you.
