Additionally, please check whether file editing has been turned off on your site by performing the below steps:
1). Login to your site via FTP.
2). Locate and make a backup of your wp-config.php file on the root folder.
3). Open up your wp-config.php file for editing (you may have to download a copy to your local computer)
4). Search for the text: DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT
5). If you find the text, it will look something like:
define( ‘DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT’, true ); you can set this to false.
